Portrait Painting Bloomsbury
We also offer a 2 day Portrait Painting Masterclass in the greater Bloomsbury area, led by Vice President of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, artist Tim Benson VPROI.The students will be introduced to the artist on this course, as well as his work and the philosophy behind his work.On the first day, after a demonstration by Tim, you will proceed to create small, quick oil sketches which focus more on tone, colour and form than detail.Students will produce a large painting on the second day, with the added difficulty of not adding detail. In order to identify ways in which to create interest and tension in the work, students’ work will be discussed and their choices examined throughout this process. The course will conclude with a one on one assessment of the student’s work.
